Funeral

Had been a few days since i attended her funeral. It was tuesday morning. Went to the hospital at about 645am. Placed a little white flower in her coffin. Looked at her for the last time. She wore our GB officer full-uniform(she was our ex-capt, handed over her duties in 2005). She was a faithful worker of christ. Lying there, she seemed cold, rigid and so uncomfortable....memories of time spent together flooded me and tears flowed. The crowd around sang hyms as people took turns to pay their respect and to place flowers in her coffin. The atmosphere itself was down and painful enough, not to mention the hearts of those who knew her, her students, collegue (she was a teacher in St.E), friends, family, relatives.....Her coffin was closed, took photos and we all went to Zion Methodist church for her memorial service. Her life journey was told and photos where shown....even one little part of her diary. Its contents were about how she felt about the 10th anniversary(2003) of our 3rd Sibu GB Sunday. On how she was tired after it all but didn't feel sleepy yet. In it, she even wondered how it would be on the 20th anniversary.....although she would no longer be the Capt at that time but it would sure be some experience and something to look forward to.....After that, all of us GB girls and officers (from other companies too) sang a hymn....our rev gave a short account of how it happened, how he felt and etc. Soon the service ended and we proceeded to the graveyard for her burial....It all ended at 1030am. A teary morning indeed....Compared to Lord Jesus, she has had her time...it was sudden, but she did impact many of those around her....her work is done and God came to take her back with him....she will be waiting for us in our heavenly home...one day we shall meet and reunite in God....Amen.
